Kathy Parker is a freelance writer, poet, spoken word performer and author of The Unravelled Heart, her first collection of poetry and prose.

She writes of abuse, trauma, domestic violence, loss, grief, survival; but also recovery, healing, overcoming abuse and empowering women in the truth of their worth.

She was Keynote speaker for the 2018 Adelaide Plains Festival of Words and has been feature performer for regular spoken word events, Spoke N Slurred in Adelaide and Melbourne’s Girls on Key. She also performed in the Paroxysm Press Showcase Series as part of the 2019 Adelaide Fringe.

To date, her poetry has been published in Anti-Heroin Chic and Black Bough Poetry.

She is a contributor for 10 Daily, The Mighty, Thought Catalog, The Minds Journal and also has articles published at SA Life Magazine, whimn, Elephant Journal and Huffington Post Australia.
